We all make mistakes, but not all of us are given a second chance. A program in McCracken County is offering first time teen offenders that opportunity. This chance to wipe the slate clean is processed through a legitimate court, but under slightly different circumstances—Teen Court.

The most iconic component of Paducah's Executive Inn were the two, large neon Es found atop its roof. They so identified the hotel that many simply called it "The Big E."

 

When The Big E was demolished, the salvage company in charge donated the two neon letters to The Easter Seal Center to be auctioned in support of the annual telethon.

Every time I say aloud that we’ve been doing PADUCAH LIFE Magazine for 25 years I get this sort of shiver down my spine. And when I choose the phrase “quarter century,” y’all I just feel a bit weak in the knees.

 

Step Up To Bourbon Barrel Beer

When Dry Ground Brewing finalized their first offerings, they already had plans in mind for future beer creations.

 

All along, the brewery intended to craft a bourbon barrel-aged series. As destiny would have it, both Roof Brothers and Wagner Wine & Spirits had hand-selected bourbons from storied distilleries, and both had barrels.
