A new product called Tempaper is taking the place of traditional wallpaper, eliminating much of the hassle that traditional wallpaper installation brings with it. It’s inevitable that designs will come in and out of fashion. It’s also easy to get tired of a bright color or a popular design after some time, but Tempaper allows trendy homeowners the chance to spruce up their space without having to make a long-term commitment to a particular color or design. It’s the perfect solution for people who want to spice things up a bit, but who don’t want to spend a fortune doing it.
Tempaper has been showcased on such shows as NBC’s George to the Rescue, as well as in a video featuring Beyonce, on the making of her official 2014 Calendar.
While celebrity designers are hyping this product all over the country, assorted designs are available right here in Paducah at Sara Falder’s downtown shop, Flower + Furbish. The shop showcases papers ranging from soft, subtle floral designs to some funky, in-your-face colors, lines and patterns.
“Wallpaper is a pain to take down,” Sara says. ‘Tempaper is easy to install and it’s a cinch to remove. Although it’s temporary, it will stay on as long as you want it to be there and when you’re ready for a change, it comes right off, without peeling the paint off the walls.”
Flower + Furbish has made home decorating enjoyable and quite affordable. When compared to similar products offered by national retailers, Tempaper comes in at about half the cost per roll.
“Depending on the size of the space, it generally takes just a couple of rolls to cover a wall,” Sara says. “We can do the installation within a few hours most of the time.”
