Bertena Varney is an author, professor, and vampire enthusiast with a B.S. in social science, an M.A. in sociology and criminology, and a Master of Education degree in social science and secondary education with an emphasis in vampire studies, British literature, and education. Whew! That may very well be why the library invited her to present The Lure of the Mysterious Vampire on October 24.
The library is billing the discussion as a “night of romance, action, and mystery” as Varney leads the audience on an investigation of vampires through the ages.
