Senator Danny Carroll has been appointed by Senate President Robert Stivers to serve on two key committees of The Council of State Governments Southern Office including a new appointment to the Energy and Environment Committee and a reappointment to the Human Services and Public Safety Committee.
Senator Carroll will collaborate with policymakers across the 15-member southern states to address critical issues related to energy infrastructure, environmental policies, public safety, and human services.
“It is an honor to be appointed and reappointed to these committees, where I can contribute to shaping policies that impact both our energy sector and our most vulnerable citizens,” said Carroll. “Balancing responsible environmental stewardship with a reliable energy grid, lower consumer costs, and economic growth is critical to our state’s future, just as ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities remains a top priority. I look forward to working with my colleagues to find effective solutions in these vital policy areas that will help Kentucky and the entire region.”
The Kentucky General Assembly returns to Frankfort this week to focus on the 30-day short session. Members of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will be traveling to Frankfort on February 13 for the annual Advocacy Day to meet with legislators about local priorities.
